Expresident of Slovak Mountaineers Pavel Vaško died | |
 Pavel Vaško, former president of the Slovak Mountaineering Association JAMES, has died at the age of 79. The association announced the news on social media.
Pavel Vaško served as the head of the association from 1999 to 2007. He was from Košice, where he also lived. During his active climbing career, one of his favorite areas was the Ganku Gallery in the High Tatras.
The funeral service will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the public cemetery in Košice.
