Czech mountaineer and politician (Member of Czech Parliament and ex mayor of Prague) Pavel Bém with Slovak mountaineer Peter Hámor reached the summit of K2 (8 611 m) in Karakoram on August 1st 2012.According to the web site of Perer Hamor they did not use oxygen.

Pavel Bem as Prague Mayor climbed Mount Everest in 2007. He climbed also the highest mountain of Pamir and the highest mountain of North America Mount McKinley. On 2010 he was reported to climb the highest summit of Antarctica Mount Vinson and that he had reached the 7 Summits (highest mountains of the continents).
