Mountaineer Leopold Sulovsky, who as the 1st Czech climbed to top of Mount Everest, was elected to Senate of the Czech Parliament.

He represents local town movement in Ostrava (North East of Czech Republic) and in the second round he got in Ostrava-Town 58.52% votes.
