La Rambla sent by Patxi

Patxi Usobiaga has sent  La Rambla 9a+ (Siurana, Catalunya).

After trying twice yesterday, today he sent it adding another high difficulty route to his long ticklist. He’s got the fifth ascent after Ramón Julián, Edu Marín, Chris Sharma and Andreas Bindhamer, and at the same time he’s the one who needed less tries to complete it: this last one was the 9th for Patxi (first was in 2001, next five in 2004, and three these days).

It is a perfect ending notice to complete the magic November of Patxi (take care, he still has three more days…): 2007 Lead World Cup Champion and ‘La Rambla’ are done!

The recently proclaimed World Cup Champion Patxi Usobiaga has sent today (November 27th) La Rambla (9a+) in Siurana (Spain). It has been the fastest repetition so far (3 tries this year, 9 overall) after Ramón Julián, Edu Marín, Chris Sharma and Andreas Bindhamer. Nowadays Patxi is in an unbeatable shape and demonstrated it sending in 2 tries, 2 hours after La Rambla, Estado Crítico (8c+ or 9a).

Patxi is really happy and says that both routes are of an incredible quality. He will spend some more days climbing in the region of Catalonia and he says he already has some new “victims” in mind.
