Climbing World Youth Championship - Sydney (AUS)

Czech youngster Adam Ondra won the World Champion title in lead climbing in his the youngest category on IFSC Climbing World Youth Championship - Sydney, Australia 2008. Another Czech Martin Stranik was 3rd in the category of the oldest boys.

Czech girls Silvie Rajfova finished 17th, Edita Vopatova 24th, Tereza Cermakova 36th, and boys Lukas Skrejpek 44th, Tomas Binter 51st in their categories in lead climbing.
In speed climbing Lukas Skrejpek was 26th, Tereza Cermakova 19th, Silvie Rajfova 29th.

IFSC Climbing World Youth Championship - Sydney, Australia 2008 starts today. Czech climbers participate there among them with the biggest favorit Adam Ondra, who has toped the first qualification route today.

Czech Republic is further represented by Martin Stranik, Silvie Rajfova, Tereza Cermakova, Edita Vopatova, Tomas Binter, Lukas Skrejpek who have started in their categories.

The 2nd qualification route is scheduled on Friday, semifinals and finals in lead climbing is on Saturday and speed finals on Sunday.
