I am 22. Age is not extra critical. To be a top climber you need: power, technique, endurance, motivation, inteligence and other things. And mainly not to have any weakness, there must be a balance in all these things.

I saw at some picture that sometimes you grimped some small holds and your fingers were unnaturally bent. What are you doing to avoid some injury and is there any trick to grimp small hold without injury.

When you must, you use crimp grip, but I try to climb with open grip. It is good to train it by hanging on campus.
