The festival program features film blocks divided into the thematic sections Earth, Rock, Air, and Water, newly expanded to include categories dedicated to running, cycling, and multisport. The organizers are also drawing attention to prominent figures from the global and domestic scenes, including Austrian climber Barbara Zangerl, Italian climber Jacopo Larcher, and Slovak mountaineers Róbert Gálfy and Daniela Pellerová.
The festival will also feature an awards ceremony honoring the best SHS JAMES climbs of 2025, traditionally recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Carabiners, as well as honorable mentions. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 28, followed by a screening of Rasťo Hatiar’s new film about the Polish-Slovak expedition to the summit of Chumik Kangri in the Pakistani Karakoram.

The 26th annual "Hory a mesto 2026" International Mountain Film and Adventure Festival will take place next week in the capital of Slovakia. The event will be held from March 25 to 29 at the Cinema City Eurovea multiplex in Bratislava.
