Today, he announced at a press conference that he wants to compete in the World Cup bouldering competition at Letná in Prague from June 6th to 8th for the last time. He wants to focus on world championships in lead climbing, as well as rock climbing, where he is currently focused on the B.I.G. route for 9c in Flatanger, Norway.
Text He wants to continue bouldering on rocks, where he recently managed to climb the Soudain Seul boulder for 9A. He would then like to compete at the World Climbing Championship in South Korea in the fall, but only in difficulty. He is leaving competitive bouldering because the bouldering routes at competitions have changed a lot and his body can no longer handle it. His hypermobile shoulders are suffering the most and the new style of climbing doesn't suit him that much. For example, in the slabs, where you used to stand on tiny steps, today you stand on the most bulky ones, Adam explained. The organizers of the boulder world championship in Prague, who are saying goodbye to Adam with a campaign with the hashtag #lastboulderdance, are expecting a lot of interest again, but tickets for the stands and standing are still available.
