Two Czech expeditions departed on Sunday (May 22 2005) to K2 ascent.
The first is lead by Leopold Sulovsky, the first Czech to summit Everest. The second is by another well known Czech mountaineer, Radek Jaros. His team will first try Nanga Parbat and then their goal will be K2.
