The Author
Davide Battistella, (Venice, 1963) has started climbing in 1978 in Apuane Alps, Dolomites, focusing on "classic" routes. He has discovered later, on the wonderful crags surrounding the Muzzerone, free-climbing, opening and freeing a huge number of high-difficulty routes, working for the development of the area under a new perspective.While studying Medicine, he attends the fist free-climbing competitions in Bardonecchia, with good scores. He has become the trainer of Juniores Italian Freeclimbing Selection, helping new talented climbers to fulfill their potential. He is National Freeclimbing Instructor of C.A.I. and member of the Italian School of Mountaineering; at the present time he works as E.R. doctor, and he's a member of the Italian Sport Medicine Federation.
