Czech Adam Ondra won Melloblocco open air bouldering competition in Italy last weekend. As the only one he solved all eight boulder problems in the competition.
UPDATE results Petrohradske PADani 2009 the international open air bouldering competition in Petrohrad West Bohemia, Czech Republic, is over and the winners are: 1st Rosta Stefanek (CZ) and Katarina Fickuliakova (Slovakia). Adam Ondra (CZ) and Layla Mammi (Germany) were 2nd.
Chairman of CHS union tries to undiscriminate foreigners
The Chairman of Czech Mountaineering Union (CHS) Zdenek Hruby said that the new leadership of the Union try to solve the problem that foreigners who are not members of UIAA could not legally climb on Czech Rocks, which began be more important after German and Austrian Unions (Alpenvereins) left UIAA last year.
Czech senior best climber Tomas Mrazek and his lady partner Helena Lipenska have spent couple weeks in Spain and sent some brief report and pictures from the trip.
Two top Czech mountaineers granted by the Fair Play prize
The Chairman of the Czech Mountaineering Union Zdenek Hruby together with his mountaineering partner Radek Jaros were granted today the main Prize of Fair Play from the Czech Club of Fair Play.
US climbing star Chris Sharma visited Prague on June 3rd to meet there Czech climbers and present his lecture show.
He had also autograph giving meeting with audience and did a large interview with Simona Ulmonova, the reporter of CzechClimbing.com, which we will publish in next couple days.
