Two Czechs Václav Šatava and Dušan "Stoupa" Janák finalised the 17 years old project Fram on the south face of Marmolada, running between The Fish and Via Italia. They sent it in PP style on 11.-13.9.2006 and graded the pitches above the Fish Cave 8+, 10-, 9/9+, 9+ and 5 (UIAA).
The victory of Tomas Mrazek in the Duel was the nice fullstop after the overall Rock Masters. I felt it as the superb representation of the Czech climbing and the Czech Republic at all, when Tomas Mrazek in the last finals beat with a nice advantage the winner of the Rock Masters Ramon Julian. US film Return 2 Sender won the 23rd International Mountaineering Film Festival (also known as Festak) which took place in Teplice nad Metuji (Northern Bohemia) 24-27 August 2006. The film was granted by the Grand Prix and was about particular view and commentary on culture of climbing by Timmy O´Neill.

13-years-old Adam Ondra did yesterday a new route for 11- UIAA (French 8c) in Czech limestone area Sloup, close to city of Brno.
