Slovakian climber Juraj Repcik climbed new project in Slovakian rocks at Visnove, he named it Proces and esimated it as 9a. It would be probably the first 9a in Slovakia.
The film named Vertical Frontier, which is about the history of climbing in Yosemites, won the mountaneering films category of the International Mountaineering Film Festival (also known as Festak). The event took place last weekend (August 26th-29th) in Teplice nad Metují, the north-eastern Czech town. The visitors trophy was awarded to the Austrian film called The Trip.
After climbing Akut (Cima Ovest) last year we agreed to cllimb another similarly hard route, graded 8b, a member of Czech mountain climbing representation team Stanislav Hovanec (nicknamed Kvak) writes in Czech version of this site www.lezec.cz.

11 year old Czech boy Adam Ondra did 8b+ PP

Two Czech kids - the 11 year old boy Adam Ondra and 9 year old girl Iva Vejmolová – won the gold cups in Arco (Italy) where the European Youth Climbing Days took place during the weekend of 29th-30th May 2004.
11 years old Adam Ondra has shocked the climbing world with his onsights of 8a+ routes. Even authors of 8a.nu were impressed about his phenomena just as he currently claims 16th place among the world elite in the most difficult climbs ranking.
Two Czechs mountaineers Radek Jaroš and Martin Koukal reached today morning the top of peak Cho Oyu 8201 m. They said it at SMS publiced on the Jaros´s site www.radekjaros.cz

He did it on August 3rd according to a discussion on Slovakian site Jamesak (http://web.savba.sk/jamesak/diskusia/)and polish web Redpoint (http://www.redpoint.pdi.pl).
He worked on the project 6 years and there try it many excelent Czech and Slovakian climbers without succes, incl. Tomas Mrazek.
