Czech Libor Hroza was the 3rd in speed, his sister Lucie Hrozova in the same discipline was the 8th. Adam Ondra finished 5th in lead climbing.

World Cup in bouldering 2009 concluded in Eindhoven last weekend by the last competition without participation of Czechs. Kilian Fischhuber from Austria and Akiyo Noguchi from Japan won the Eindhoven competition and also overall series 2009.
Invitation for the another annual of the International bouldering competition came from our friend from Hungary. The competition for kids and adults takes place on June 19/21 2009 in town Zsombó, near city Szeged, southern Hungary, close to Romanian and Serbian border
The only Czech representative young girl Silva Rajfova finished on 23rd place in the World Cup competition in bouldeirng in Vail, USA this weekend. European climbers considered the competition different from the old continent style. Larger holds, longer moves and jumps.

Czech mountaineering union announced that the local climbing organization agreed with the nature preservation authorities usage of chalk in Czech Labe (Elbe) valley sandstones only on routes from IXb (7a) and higher grade.
