Final WC bouldering event to be held in Brno, Nov 9-10th
The final round of the World Cup competition in bouldering will take place this year in one month in Brno (east of Czech Republic) on November 9-10, 2007.
Ethan Pringle who recently climbed the Realization 9a or 9a+, onsighted the Route Iron Man 8c in Rodellar and downgraded it into 8b+. He was also succesful in the Route Los Borrachos de Mascun 8c+ and and send it in the 6th go.
Alex and Thomas Huber have been beaten the old Speedrekord of Yuji Hirama and Hans Florine on El Capitan in the Route 'Nose' . They already established a new record with the time 2:48:35 at October the 4th. 4 days later they went back to improve the time and they were succesful.
Czech climber Rosta Stefanek is the leader in the world ranking of climbing boulders at the web site 8a.nu at the moment. The last recorded boulder problem which moved him to the first position was Personal Velocity 8B+ in Sneznik, nord Bohemia (Czech Republic).
Adam Ondra sent 4 another 11- to 11-/11 UIAA in 2 weekends
Over the last two weekends Adam Ondra (14) sent 4 routes 11- UIAA (specifically 11- and 11-/11 UIAA) in the Frankenjura and is still in the news on the front pages of the world climbing web sites.
Ondra's new route contender for hardest in Czech Republic
Czech Adam Ondra (14) did the first ascent of what is probably the hardest sport route in the Czech Republic- Perla Vychodu (Pearl of east). He graded it 11-/11 UIAA (French 8c+) and thinks it is the hardest route he has ever climbed (he already did several 9a's).
