Invitation for an international bouldering competition came from France. The event names Tout a blocs (TAB) and takes place in Quartz in l'Argentiere la Bessee (Briancon, eastern France) on July 30/August 2, 2008.

The UIAA has called for fewer restrictions on mountaineers, climbers and trekkers in Slovakia’s High Tatra Mountains, intervening on behalf of the Slovakian Alpine Union.
